- Understanding base and nucleophiles
- Aprotic solvents or 'Dead' solvents
- Lonepairs that are base only (not nucleophiles)
- Two general mechanisms for ALL π-bond electrophilic reactions:
- Mechanism #1 (Basic conditions)
- Mechanism #2 (Acidic conditions)
- Grignard reagents andorganometallic reagents
- Boron/Aluminum hydrate reagents (i.e., NaBH4 and LiAlH4)
- Mechanism for hemi-acetals
- Find the missing reagents
- Review Session will include problem solving from past Midterm questions.
- All registered students will receive "Midterm 2 Package" that includes multiple Midterms related to the above topics from previous years given by uOttawa Professors!
